Mulch is any type of material that is spread or laid over the surface of the soil as a covering. It is used to retain moisture in the soil, suppress weeds, keep the soil cool and make the garden bed look more attractive. There are two kinds of mulch, Organic and Inorganic.
Add beauty and color to your property with plantings from The Tree Connection. We work with the best local nurseries to hand select the highest quality plants, shrubs and flowers to fit with your property’s specific conditions and design elements.
Shrub and flower beds can go almost anywhere and can take the place of grass in areas that are too shady or damp for grass to thrive. In damp areas or places with heavy soils, raised beds may be the answer for you. In areas that receive little rainfall or no irrigation, beds can also contain drought-tolerant plants that can thrive in those conditions.
Whether you want a new shrub or flower bed or an existing one redone, The Tree Connection can design and install beds that suit your particular property needs.
Maintaining your property can be a time consuming and labor intensive process. You would probably rather spend your free time relaxing than trimming shrubs or raking leaves. This is where maintenance from The Tree Connection can help!

Fencing can be a necessary addition to your home. Whether it would be for privacy, property delineation or to keep pets and kids protected and safe, The Tree Connection can install the fencing you need.
We install the following fence systems:
- Post and Rail
Post and Rail: If you are seeking an informal, open, natural-looking fence, then post and rail fencing is the solution. Post and rail offers a rustic look by using wood railings attached to wood posts. It’s also one of the easiest fences to install.
Vinyl: Vinyl fencing is more weather resistant than wood fencing and can come in many different styles like picket, post and rail and privacy. It also comes in many colors that can coordinate and blend with the outside color scheme of your home.
Metal: Metal fencing can be aluminum, wrought iron or steel. If you looking for long durability, strength or security, metal fencing may be for you. Some uses are for around pools, security for commercial or industrial properties.
We can help you decide what kind of fencing would be right and aesthetically pleasing for your home and property.

This is a process done to repair or change the existing slope of the property to divert water, or make the ground more level, and therefore more livable. This is part of the process that is sometimes required to prepare or install a lawn, or prime a lot for building.
The Tree Connection will utilize their knowledge along with machinery and equipment to perform any grading needs you have to make your property free from water runoff and erosion.
The installation of sod is a popular way to establish a new lawn. Most of the sod purchased is a blend of different Kentucky bluegrass varieties or a mixture of other common turfgrass types (i.e., fine fescue, perennial ryegrass, tall fescue). When installed correctly on properly amended soil, in the appropriate sunlight conditions and where correct maintenance is provided, a sod lawn can be a valuable part of your landscape.
There can be many potential problems and challenges in installing a sod lawn from soil preparation to grading. At the Tree Connection, we can do all of the hard work for you!
Ground Preparation: The first step that our professional sod installers take when beginning a commercial or residential sod installation project is ground preparation. Preparing the ground for sod installation includes removing any existing vegetation such as grass, moss, and weeds. Depending on the scale of the project, our we complete this step using sod cutters, front-end loader driven hydraulic rakes, or hand tools.
Grading: The grading step is one of the most important steps in the sod installation process as it contributes greatly to the final end result and quality of a sod installation project. Because sod will conform to any uneven dips or hills in the ground, the ground must be graded properly prior to sod installation. We use a variety of modern equipment in order to create the best results. Grading an area properly will ensure proper drainage and runoff for years to come. During this grading process, top soil may be added as needed as a base for sod or to level off certain areas.
Installation: After the ground has been properly graded, we are ready to begin the actual installation process. We can install sod in either small rolls or big rolls depending on the scale of the project. We use the latest sod installation equipment to complete both residential and commercial sod installation projects quickly.
